V nedeljo 10. februarja 2019 je v Celju potekalo državno prvenstvo JKA zveze Slovenije v karateju.
Na tekmovanju se je pomerilo 206 tekmovalcev in tekmovalk iz enajstih klubov.
Člani Kluba borilnih veščin Dren iz Leskovca smo bili odlični in domov prinesli 7 naslovov državnih prvakov in sicer so jih v katah osvojili:
Praprotnik Nejc (ml. kadeti), Kerin Nina (ml. kadetinja), Tekavec Klara (st. kadetinj), Račič Luka (mladinci), Lekše Klemen (posebne potrebe) in ekipno pri mladincih (Račič Luka, Škofljanec Žan in Zekovič Luka).
Odličen uspeh s srebrom v katah so dopolnili:
Prugovečki Kiara (st. kadetinje), Krajnc Luka (ml. kadeti), Lekše Maja (mladinka), Račič Luka (člani), Škofljanec Žan ( mladinci) ter ekipno pri kadetih (Praprotnik Nejc, Krajnc Luka, Sodec Bogolin Matija).
Bronasti pa so bili:
Račič Jakob (st. kadeti) in ekipno pri mladinkah (Kerin Nina, Lekše Maja, Tekavec Klara).
V kumiteju pa je Žan Škofljanec pobral zlato pri mladincih ter bron pri članih.
